THE SEA WE BREATHE
OVERVIEW
To launch Blue Marine Foundation’s ‘The Sea We Breathe’ virtual reality experience, we created and delivered ocean connection workshops to KS5 & KS6 students.

OUTCOME
We delivered 6 x ocean connection workshops with KS5 and KS6 students across the UK including London, Bristol and Plymouth.
These workshops included presentations on why we need to protect our oceans, an opportunity for students to explore 'The Sea We Breathe' VR experience through headsets, and activities encouraging them to take action for their oceans (e.g. writing to their MPs, building a campaign).
We gathered feedback during the workshops from the students and teachers involved to produce an Impact Report to develop the workshops further and measure impact.
In addition to delivering the workshops, we conducted interviews with the students to create a social media reel, which was launched on World Education Day on 24th January 2025 as a collaborative post between Blue Marine Foundation and Earth Minutes.
